INFORMATION FOR ACCEPTED ABSTRACT POSTER PRESENTERS
2024 Annual NEALS Meeting Abstract Poster Session Information

Congratulations on having your abstract accepted for presentation at the Annual NEALS Meeting! We are excited to have you share your research with our community. Please review the information below to ensure a successful presentation experience.
Additionally, please review the Abstract Submission Guidelines and the POSTER ABSTRACT FAQ section for answers to some of the frequently asked questions for both in-person and virtual poster sessions.
Accepted abstracts are required to be presented in-person at the 2024 Annual Meeting.
PREPARING YOUR DISPLAY
Please pay attention to the following when preparing your poster since the format has been changed from previous years:

Poster layout Dimensions: A0 Paper Size PORTRAIT FORMAT:

in cm: 84.1 (width) x 118.9 (height)
- in inches: 33.1 (width) x 46.8 (height)​

​Poster dimensions should not exceed 90×120 cm – width/height. Ensure that your poster does not exceed these dimensions to fit the provided boards.

NEALS will provide poster numbers for easy identification and poster pins for mounting your materials.

NEALS will also provide “no photos” signage (upon request) for those who do not want photographs taken of their poster.

CONTENT REQUIREMENTS

Include the title of your abstract in full and author(s) at the top of the poster.

Ensure your poster is readable from a distance of 3 feet.
POSTER SET UP AND REMOVAL
-
Presenters are responsible for the transportation, setup, and removal of their posters.

Please review the "Poster Abstract (in person and virtual)" tab on the FAQ page to find shipping and pick up information.

October 22nd: Poster boards will be set up prior to the poster session and we encourage presenters to hang their work before the session’s 4:30pm start time. Posters should be removed by 9:00am the following morning.

October 23rd: Poster boards will be set up prior to the poster session and we encourage presenters to hang their work any time between 12:30pm and the session’s 4:00pm start time.

Any posters left up will be stored in the Aqua Board room on the second floor of the Opal Sands Resort.
-
Any posters left behind after the conclusion of the Annual NEALS Meeting on October 24th, will be discarded.
VIRTUAL POSTER SESSION

To ensure your research is accessible to all attendees, including those joining virtually, please upload a PDF of your poster to your original abstract submission by Friday, October 18th, 2024.

Enhance your virtual poster with additional materials like PowerPoint slides, videos, or supplementary documents. Engage with attendees through live video conversations during your assigned virtual poster session.

VIRTUAL PRESENTATION DEMO SESSION

We will host brief (30 min) small group demo sessions to highlight virtual presenting functionality. Please click on the weeks linked below to schedule your demo session:

MEETING REGISTRATION

If you have yet to do so, please register for the 2024 Annual NEALS Meeting.

Select your registration type.
WITHDRAWALS
-
Withdrawal requests are permitted until September 20, 2024. However, not all withdrawals will be reflected in print or online publications depending on when the withdrawal request is made.

Withdrawal requests should be submitted to bsmits@neals.org and include the abstract title, ID number, and the presenter’s name. Authors should also provide reasoning for the withdrawal.

Authors not notifying NEALS staff of withdrawal, notifying NEALS staff after October 20, 2024, or not providing a reason for withdrawal will result in restrictions on future submissions.

EMBARGO POLICY

Announcement(s) regarding the upcoming presentation of the abstract (such as acceptance for meeting presentation at the meeting, date of presentation) are permitted.

In accordance with our embargo policy, information from any abstract or presentation is confidential and may not be announced, publicized, or distributed before Thursday, October 17, 2024 9:00 AM ET.
